About being an ESL-HCA student at Drake Medox College.

I am so thankful for the people who helped me along my journey. To Ms. Virginia Carino, my HCA Instructor who motivated me and encouraged me in the process. Also to Ms. Cindy Cook, who at every class was so full of love and passion. The advice I would give to a friend who is struggling is, to never give up on a dream just because of the time commitment it will take to accomplish. The time will pass anyway! Manage time well, focus closely on what is needed to be finished first, proceed step by step.

Success Story

Through my own personal experience I believe I am able to give to others the level of care, compassion and love that was bestowed upon me during my time of need. Drake Medox College has provided me with the greatest opportunity through their Community Support Worker program, with being able 'pay it forward ' and make a difference in this world. Life is about touching the lives of people around us no matter who they are or where they have come from.
